UC vs MS Headset

When you’re browsing for headsets, you may have seen the terms UC and MS. We’re here to share the differences between UC (Unified Communications) and MS (Microsoft) certified headsets.

Differences between UC and MS - Pre-configured settings

MS Models are certified for Microsoft Skype for Business (Lync) and support the application. MS models support features without additional configurations. e.g. answering and ending calls, adjusting the volume and muting.

If Microsoft Skype for Business is not being used, you can opt for the UC model. It works the same way just right out of the box.

How to tell the difference between UC and MS? - Naming
  • UC Certified: Jabra Evolve2 40 USB-A, UC Stereo
  • MS Certified: Jabra Evolve2 40 USB-A, MS Stereo
  • How do I know I have selected the right and compatible solution? Most solutions work effortlessly with all Microsoft Products. Microsoft-compatible headsets are meant to work beyond the purpose of calls. With excellent sound quality, you are in for a treat!
